Another painting from the Nancy Ford Cones series of remarkable photographs dating in the early 1900's. this particular painting measures 8x10 and is painted in oil on a gessoed massonite board. It somewhat impressionistic and is quite a bit smaller then I am use to painting.

This painting is depicted from a famous photograph which resides in the historical museum by a Mrs. Cones (a national award winning photographer who resided in Loveland, Ohio in the early 1900's. My inspiration was the pure quality of the lighting and compositional images.

This is our 7 month old rescue lab mix named Emma. She is energy plus thus the loose quality of the painting. Painted in oil on canvas board. It measures 8x10 and has the richness of gold on earthtoned background.
